As the Hotel was apparently short-staffed we were told they would provide a packed breakfast for each of us. Mayra said, if we wanted to eat at the hotel breakfast bar, we could, but we may not get a seat. We had the classic croissant and au choclat from the breakfast bar, but then found the free bag of food, so we took that on the bus with us to eat later. It also had a croissant and au choclat along with a waffle, apple and a small orange juice.
After breakfast we were on the bus again, to go back to the Netherlands, where our tour would end. On the way, we stopped in Brussels, Belgium where we had a couple of hours to look around and have lunch. Belgium is known for it's coned Fries, waffles and chocolate. It also gave us Tin Tin and the Smurfs. Mayra walked us to the 'Grand-Place', which is considered one of the world's most beautiful squares. Mayra then told us where to meet, in a couple of hours, then left us to it. We went to the Tin Tin Museum, marveled at the amazing architecture, had lunch, then walked to the Manneken Pis, a well-known symbol of Brussels, before returning to the meeting point, where we saw the chocolate Smurf.
Of course, when in Belgium, you have to have a waffle. We found a small shop that sold lots of waffles with different toppings. They looked so nice I decided to have an Oreo waffle while mum chose a plain one. Unfortunately, they ran out of chocolate after making my waffle, and her next batch of chocolate wasn't ready, so she asked mum if she wanted Nutella instead. She did and both waffles were yummy.
Before leaving Belgium we made one last stop at the 'Atomium', which was constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. The top sphere has a restaurant in it, while the other spheres are exhibit halls and other public spaces. The tubes have stairs and escalators in them, to get to the different spheres, while the vertical tube contains a lift. It was pretty impressive. Once we arrived at our hotel in the Netherlands it was time to say 'Goodbye' to everyone. I took one last photo of the bus before heading to our room.
By the time we arrived at the hotel we were too tired to do much. We went for a short walk to find somewhere to eat, but it was too expensive, so we uber ate some KFC instead. It took forever to arrive, but it was good.
