Day 1

Barcelona

Thursday, June 26

After Landing in Barcelona at 8:30am we took a taxi to our hotel where we left our luggage at the Som Nit Born Hotel while the room was being prepared, meanwhile we decided to explore around the place.

We saw The Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar, Estatua de Ramon Berenguer el Gran, Cathedral of Barcelona and the many alley ways that seem to run in every direction.

While exploring around and admiring the old building architecture, we stopped at a small bakery where I ate a chocolate filled, chocolate covered star shaped donut thing with some refreshing peach ice tea.

We then went for a long walk to the Sant Miquel Beach and saw the Ferris Wheel and stopped at Home Made Barceloneta - Ice cream & Coffee Shop for an ice cream before heading back to the hotel for a rest.

With a final walk around we discovered an abandoned looking train station with half the roof missing but to our surprise it was functional, we then ended the day with dinner at Maccas.
