Day 11

After our rushed breakfast we went back to our cabin to get our bags and disembarked the boat.  We then caught the free shuttle into town to catch another bus to Rome, as the ship docked about an hour away.  The teacher couple we met at trivia, whose names we finally found out were Meghan and Robert, happened to be on the same buses.

We felt like pizza for dinner and were going to try out the pizza place just across the road from our apartment, but as we exited the street door, after spending 5 minutes trying to work out how to open it, the restauranteur right next door to the apartment building, suggested Pizzeria Il Grano just up the road.  I got 4 Cheeses E & Pesto and mum got a Margherita pizza.  We followed this up with a Tiramisu, mum got a classic and I got Nutella.

After an amazing pizza we decided to explore the area.  We walked around a park, saw some street art (graffiti), a clock tower, and a water tower.  Then as I was taking photos of some lovely plants, mum rolled her ankle on an unstable tile and fell over in front of a couple coming the other way🤕.  We, well mum, limped back home and rested for the night.
